SWARF

Millie – fuzzy white dog
About one year old. Spayed female. Owner surrender for “destructiveness” (shoe chewing). Not yet available for adoption–evaluating anxiety issues. Loves COLD weather – maybe should transport north. Looks bigger than she is because of all that hair–she easily fits through a chihuahua doggie-door!

Margo
Was labeled Boxer X by shelter but I think she just has an underbite. Sweet affectionate energetic recently-spayed female about 1.5 YO. 45 lbs. Good with larger and smaller dogs. Likes rough play. Happy snuggly dog had a litter when she was still a puppy herself. Now experiencing playful goofy puppyhood for first time. She and her puppies survived a house fire but puppies were euthanized due to extreme smoke inhalation.

Hamilton – brown & white pit X
About 1.5 YO neutered male. 60 pounds. Piercing gold eyes always trying to figure you out. Very affectionate. Also very stubborn. Crate training in progress. Loves rough and tumble play with larger strong older female. Walks well with nose-lead (similar to gentle leader). Will bond very strongly with his person

Athena is a go getter! She’s playful and loves any and all interaction. Super smart and learns tricks in minutes. She’s strong as heck but when she’s in tune with you, easy and fun to handle. Food motivated at least for now. Great with the dogs we’ve let her play with. Polite and non-assertive.
Ideal home so far is either with a hands-on active owner, or a family with another playful dog. For now, I’d say too strong to be around little kids or cats, but I imagine she’s going to calm down outside of a kennel environment and with the right stimulation/exercise. Overall gorgeous girl with great personality.

Jazz is an approximately 1.5 YO black and white pit bull mix. 65 lbs. Not yet spayed so not available for adoption until mid-February–but available to meet and visit before then. Healthy. Good blood work. Free of heartworms and tick-borne diseases.

DALE is a 55 pound terrier mix of some kind–Valencia County said aireDALE. He won’t be available for adoption until March or April because he can’t be neutered yet. He’s on doxycycline for low platelets caused by tick-born disease. He’s responding well and should be fine to be neutered in a month or so.
