Liberty

Female Border Collie / Heeler mix, young adult

This beautiful girl loves toys, interaction, and playing games. Her active mind will offer hours of amusement for a lucky family! She is full of life and energy and loves her toys, and she will play fetch forever! Liberty loves her people but would consider sharing them and her home with a male dog.

Liberty is currently very underweight, despite numerous blood and fecal tests coming back normal. Because of this, she is a participant of a raw food trial through Natures Variety until Feb/March. Though she is healthy and energetic, she needs to gain some weight. The food trial is making a difference so this girl might require a special diet initially. This extraordinary girl is seeking a special family that will work with her (she's a smart cookie!) on training and will focus on overcoming her thinness. She will repay tenfold!

East Side Herding & Small Dog Rescue fosters and rehabilitates homeless animals and at the same time endeavors to find them adoptive homes suitable for their needs. All our pets are spayed or neutered and have their vaccinations before adoption contracts are signed. Some pets require more extensive needs with either health or behavior issues needing time or care. Our rescue group provides education and support during a trail period before adoptions are finalized to successfully transition pets and family members. Our group seeks to help our community by decreasing the number of homeless pets being killed each year due to over pet population and lack of education. East Side Herding & Small Dog Rescue is registered as a New Mexico nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)3 organization under the Internal Revenue Code.
